As rain begins, we end our day. This was a beautiful, Island Day.
We went to the other side of this island to a favorite spot — Lapākahi.
Lapakāhi is an ancient fisherman's village on the edge of the Pacific overlooking Maui.
It is a calming oasis. There are few places that I have been to which
ooze serenity. Lapākahi is one of those places. I am sure my blood pressure is perfect when
I am there where few palm trees grow. We watch whales.
We watch waves. We watch the worn rocks. The outlines, by
stonewalls, of homes and temples are all that is left; but, is it? Is it possible that the
energies of those who lived still breathe?
