Many have requested that I do an eyebrow tutorial. So I’ve decided to show you how I personally
shape my eyebrows and then I fill them in. I like to begin the process first by using
a spoolie, the same as a mascara brush. I brush upwards at the inner corners of my
eyebrows and then I move outwards and brush to the side.
I'll be using a tweezer in this video as one of the two ways of removing stray hairs.
If you're barely starting to learn, stick to an eyebrow shaper.
I start the by plucking the hairs in the center. The slant tip and the finger placements that
this tweezer has makes it much easier to grip the hair from the root and remove it by pulling
upward. Determine the line by which you want your
brow to be angled. From there, you can pluck by pulling outwards from the direction of
the hairs or wait a few seconds to see the same process but with a brow shaper.
My favorite tool to use during this entire process is the eyebrow shaper. It's much quicker
than the tweezers and is much more friendly especially for beginners. The greatest advantage
of all is that the hair grows back faster so if I make a mistake, I won't have to wait
as long to fix it. When using an eyebrow shaper, you're always
gonna want to go against the grain, meaning cutting in the opposite direction of which
the hair grows. When doing so, be very as it doesn't take much to cut yourself.
For this next step, I'm going to be using an electric trimmer from a grooming system
I purchased. If you're a girl watching this video, chances are you don't own one of these.
Alternatives include a tiny scissor or a ladie's facial trimmer. Whatever you choose, just
know that it will be used only to make a straight line at the top of your eyebrow. This gives
the eyebrow a more natural, bold look. There will be tiny shadows around your eyebrows
and you'll notice that they're just the little hairs that you really can't see in person
unless someone is standing as close to you as the camera is to me. I still like to cut
these hairs until they're barely noticable. I also like to cut a direct line from the
middle of my eyebrows until a perfect edge is revealed. If you haven't noticed, the edge
of the brow is directly in line with the edge of the nose.
Here I'm just going to remove any hairs that my electric trimmer didn't. This is something
you can do as well if you don't have a scissor or an electric razor.
You want to wipe the shaper every couple of seconds just to make sure you're removing
hair as quickly as possible. I'm going to create a thin border around my
eyebrows using tiny , hair-like strokes. Because my eyebrows are a little short, I
like to extend them - making sure that I round off the eyeliner and match it perfectly with
my arch. I didn't really notice how dark my eyebrows
seemed on camera until after filming because when I made the video, I wasn't looking into
an actual mirror - just the flip screen of my camera but what I did to take away the
unnatural shades, is I smudged and erased until I got the look I wanted.
To finish off and give your eyebrows a more clean look, you wanna use an eyeshadow brush
and a white powder to highlight your brow bone.
You can also use foundation like I'm doing or a concealer to achieve the same effect.
