Acupuncture and Electroacupuncture
A female acupuncturist greets and discusses treatment with a reclining male patient.
The acupuncturist inserts two acupuncture needles into points
on the left hand of the patient and stimulates the points
by twisting and flicking the ends of the needles.
Using a swab, the acupuncturist cleans the left ear surface.
Two acupuncture needles are placed at different points
on the ear and are manipulated.
Acupuncture needles are inserted into 3 points on the face,
one between the eyebrows and two near the right side of the nose.
The acupuncturist shows a small machine that
is used for electroacupuncture to the patient and connects
two electrodes to the needles inserted in the left hand.
Electroacupuncture is performed on the left ear of the patient.
The acupuncture points are located on the ear using a model
and are then stimulated with electricity
using a small, pen-shaped instrument.
