Amazing thing to go through because you go and
you study a four-year Criminal Justice degree.
Being able to come out here to the Academy and do
the hands-on work of the actual law enforcement
training, it was as real life as you could get.
>> Students can earn certifiability.
It's the pre-service requirements.
>> The education and training requirements to
become a law enforcement officer in the state of Wisconsin.
>> Drop your weapon. [guns popping]
>> I learned so many things at the Academy,
from skills training to communication
to a bunch of other things that I couldn't have
learned anywhere else.
>> Do you have your driver's license on you today?
>> Being able to actually get out there and do it,
I think that's the best way to learn how to do
something is actually put yourself into the
situation and do it.

>> Every day I came to the program,
I learned something new.
>> I know exactly what I want to do and the
Academy's helped me to get there.
