In humanitarian news, a Canadian city offers affordable housing for young people in need.
Yorkton, Saskatchewan is providing two six-bedroom residences, which will be home to ten individuals.
Each house will have a mentor to offer support and guidance to the residents. The more than
US$820,000 project is being jointly financed by the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, Yorkton
Transitional Homes for Youth Incorporated and the City of Yorkton. The Mayor of Yorkton,
the Honorable James Wilson said, “The City of Yorkton is proud to be making a difference
in the lives of our youth.” Our warm appreciation, Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, the Honorable
James Wilson, City of Yorkton, and Yorkton Transitional Homes for Youth Incorporated,
for your valuable collaborative project. May all young people develop their full potential
in loving and supportive environments
