I'm Joe Rebman from Q'Straint. In this video, you will see a highway accident where a mid-size
bus hits an SUV. The speed at impact is 34.6 miles per hour.
You will notice that the driver has properly secured the passenger with a Q'Straint wheelchair occupant restraint system,
preventing injuries and possibly saving his life.
It is important to know that most wheelchair incidents happen during sudden braking and sharp turning. If improperly secured, passengers
may be ejected from the wheelchair, may slide under the lap belt, or the wheelchair may
possibly tip over. We never know when an accident can occur.
Here are some pictures from another major accident. The driver properly secured the passenger with the Q'Straint retractable
system. The impact from the accident rolled the bus, leaving it upside down. The passenger
was still properly secured. Here is the quote from the property: "...Six passengers survived.
There was one wheelchair passenger secured with your system who survived... The agency
said the Q'Straint equipment worked very well, and they were pleased with its performance."
Again, we never know when an accident can occur.
