Hey Ms. Wambach. Hi. What was it like beating Mia Hamm's record? Well it was exciting to
do it in the way that I did it and I'm lucky to have been put in the position of even having
the opportunity to score the record. Mia was such an incredible role model for me personally
and off course mentored so many people and inspired millions so to be able to say that
I've broken a record that she set is obviously a feel good for me but I care more, way more
about breaking championship records so I want to win championships, that's all. Right now,
in this generation, a lot of girls that play soccer are looking up to you so how does it
feel being like the Mia Hamm of today? It feels, I definitely take my responsibility
of being that role model very seriously. I want to set a good example for many people
to follow in my footsteps and break my records and show the world that before them was a
set of women that did a lot of work to get the game to where it is, it's good. What are
your future plans? Winning a world cup 2015. Thanks.
