CHRISTIE OWNES: Hi. My name is Christie and I'm with Expert Village and I'm teaching you
proper care of fish today and a little bit about the different types of fish. And now
I'm going to explain a few items to you that you will need in the process of setting your
fish tank up. One is a proper test kit. The proper test kit includes ammonia, nitrite
and ph. These are the three things that you need to keep a proper check on your tank.
There is also another product they have in the market which removes chlorine out of the
water which is this one right here. There are very different kinds of bottles of chlorine
remover available on the market. You will also need a fish net to remove dead fish or
release fish into the tank when you get the new fish. You will also need proper fish food
for the types of fish that you are feeding. The fish in this tank, I feed them a brand
of Tetra Flake for community fish. There's goldfish food, food for aggressive fish, but
these guys in this tank are fed a community flake food as well as freeze-dried bloodworms,
plankton, water fleas, and frozen fish foods to give them a little bit of variety just
like we do. You wouldn't want to eat just a chicken sandwich everyday for lunch, breakfast,
and dinner; neither do these guys. They like to have a steak and potato one day, chicken
the next day, and maybe hotdog every now and then. So, that's the proper care and feeding
of fish as well.
