JEFF FISHER: We are here to help someone in need. I see the guys
walking down the street with their shovels and their hammers and they are
very, very appreciative and they deserve this. These people need help,
they need help from our local, state and federal government so they can put
their lives back together and they do not deserve to be neglected.
Guys, we got two more down the street
TONY BROWN: Just experiencing tearing down the walls so people can start all
over again just with the sheetrock and stuff like that, I mean just
everything so people can start all over again.
JEFF FISHER: Everything has to come out, you are talking about framing and
drywall and everything has to come out, so that is what we are doing,
just stripping the houses out. I probably spent and hour in a closet,
one closet in one home and how many hundreds of homes are there here?
VINCE YOUNG: You know how much work you put into your house, you know how
much hard work, you go to work and things like that and for something
like that, for mother nature to come and take over, you know, your house
and your home, it’s a terrible thing.
TONY BROWN: The organization brought it to us and said, look, you need to
get out into the community, help these people out, they support us on Sundays
and what not, so we need all the people we can to volunteer and so
within seconds people said, I am in, I am in.
VINCE YOUNG: We wanted to be out in the community showing how much effort,
how much love we have for them, that we want to do whatever we can to help
rebuild, you know, to get our city back to where it needs to be.
TONY BROWN: I am just thankful to be out here, to help these people, to be
honest with you, that’s all I am all about right now. We come out here not
because we have to, but because we want to.
JEFF FISHER: People care about people here.
Whoa, that was great!
