Interviewer: New season, are we going see you in some orange prison
garb? What are we going to see?
Maggie Siff: Yes. You're gonna see that beautiful color reflecting off
my pasty skin. I hope I can pull it off. I probably can. But just for a
little while not for too long.
Interviewer: Okay.
Maggie: I'll start out there.
Interviewer: Okay. And, Katey did say we found out pretty soon whether
she's the one that put Tara there or if it's somebody else.
Maggie: Yeah,
Interviewer: I wanted to ask, talk to me about the scene last season
with Kurt playing Otto, it was amazing to watch. How was that to film?
Maggie: It was pretty wild. I really enjoyed it. He's, he's a good
actor. I mean, whats funny when the show, when the show runner is your
scene partner is that, you want to be asking him questions about the
script. And then you're like, "No, no, no, he really just wants to be an
actor here."
But what I love about those scenes, and I think it's one of the
things that this show does really well was how intimate they were, there's
sort of this psychological game that they're playing with each other and
the camera sort of puts in under this microscope. Like, that's what those
scenes felt like to me. They were interesting.
Interviewer: Tara and Jax this season obviously prison's gonna be a
little obstacle for them.
Maggie: A little bit, yes.
Interviewer: What will we see about the relationship that the fact that
Gem is gonna try and work her way in again?
Maggie: I think they're pretty alienated from each other for much of
the season. I would say it's a little bit like there's pandora's box that's
sitting right between them and neither of them wants to pull the lid off of
it and really get into what's going on. So, there's a kind of polite
distance actually between them for some of the season at least.
Interviewer: There's a lot about the fact that Jax has always promising
he's always gonna get her out of here and he hasn't. Is that fueling a lot
of this?
Maggie: Yeah, I think so. I think in this season Tara's pretty much
finally gotten wise to the fact that he's not going anywhere. Even if his
intentions are golden, you know. It's like the reality of the world and the
generational component of history repeating itself. I think it's just kind
of dawned on her what she's really, really up against.
Interviewer: Can fans expect a next showdown between Tara and Gemma
regardless of the prison part of things, but it feels like it's been
building for all these seasons.
Maggie: Yeah, I think they can expect a showdown. Yeah. I think so.
Interviewer: Is that something you shot already?
Maggie: Well, we have little showdowns all the time.
Interviewer: Right.
Maggie: No, we haven't. I think it's where it's headed. Actually, it's
hard to explain, but they're definitely, Tara and Gemma, are really keen
into each other this season. So, there's a lot going on.
