>> Since 1954, Beth's CafÉ on aurora avenue has been feeding very hungry people 24/7.
It's especially popular for breakfast on the weekends, but also, the late night crowd loves beth's.
It's got something to do with their famous 12-egg omelet and hash browns.
We now go inside Beth's CafÉ to meet the family of people who make that place what it is.

>> We have an auto engineering major, there is a waitress who is a licensed dental hygienist, there's a million amazing artists.
The cook right now is a gourmet chef.
The general manager is an accountable.
Everyone has other things that they could easily do that would put them working a normal shift in a normal place, but once again, it's really hard once you get into it, really hard.

>> I turned in an application here on April fool's day, as a joke.
And then I got the job.
And I've been working here ever since.
I actually had gone through culinary school.
I definitely love food.
But here, I just love the hard work and I love the people.
>> Hey, do you want hash browns with your Benedict?
>> You walk in and it's crazy in here?
And then you have about an hour to clean up, reset the kitchen, wait for bar rush.
>> Can get a little bit rowdy at times, it's kind of loud and hectic.
It's all like one big dance, we just kind of dance around each other.

>> Half of us live in the same apartment building, half of us have worked together for eight, nine years.
Even the new people that come in end up becoming friends and part of the family.
And it's hard to ever consider, you know, leaving this place.
So, and I kind of steered my life around not having to.
>> As soon as they know you, then they always know you.
And in working here, it was just like working with my family.
The other waitress is one of my best friends.
I have like a little brother here.
The general manager is mom.
The owner is dad.
Like regulars are more like friends than regulars.
>> It's totally different, but it's still enjoyable because of the place, the owner, the employer, the people who work here, you know.
So customers are a small part of it, you know.
¶¶
But I mean, the smallest big part.
Well, that's it.
This place is different every night.
Every night.
No one can ever get used to this place.
And it keeps me here.
