Lacie Silcox: If you’ve ever met a Cicerone you know that they’re some of the most dynamic,
outgoing, friendly people that you’ll ever meet.
Reggie Malebranche: Everybody knows that it’s
a great institution and academics is the number one thing here, but with the tours like I
kind of try to give them like a feel of how it is on campus, how a regular day at the
University of Florida is like.
Lacie Silcox: Cicerones are our student ambassadors here at the University of Florida, and I think,
really a Cicerone just kind of embodies a true Gator, they’re just dynamic, they’re
an awesome group of students and they serve the University in a lot of different capacities.
Kate Kesselring: People come to our university
and have never been on our campus before, we’re ultimately the first student that
they kind of get to know - almost develop a relationship with just by us telling our
experience as a student through UF.
Rupal Bhana: You really get to experience every aspect of the Gator Nation in such a
small group. You know, we have 50,000 students but the Florida Cicerones really does strive
to comprise everyone at our university.
Kate Kesselring: I feel like Cicerones legacy to this campus is, they make it colorful.
They just make people feel at home.
Lacie Silcox: They’re not only here to enhance the Gator Nation but they’re also here to
enhance the community surrounding the Gator Nation.
Reggie Malebranche: I’m really proud, it
makes me even love my school even more. I really love the University of Florida, but
being a Cicerone, being an ambassador to the university - it made me love this university
even more, appreciate more what it is and I couldn’t trade it for the world.
Kate Kesselring: It’s just so relieving
that no matter where I end up, no matter where I go after college that I’m always going
to have a support system behind me through the Florida Cicerones.
