hi I'm Todd from Sony and I'm going to show you how to use the alarm feature
on your Sony digital voice recorder
the alarm feature allows you to sound an alarm and start playback of a selected
file at a desired time
for example you can have a file playback on a specific date
once every week or at the same time every day
this is a great feature that will help remind you of meetings or errands
my demonstration I'm using the ICD-SX712
each recorder is slightly different so be sure to check the owner's manual or
visit us at esupport.Sony.com for your specific features and menu options
let's get started
first make sure the recorder is on
by sliding the power switch towards the power status
locate the folder where you stored the recording you would like to use as your alarm
to do this
press the folder button
then use the arrow up and down buttons and highlight the folder
inside the folder you will see your recordings
select the reording
and press the enter button
choose the menu button
use the down arrow until you see alarm
press the enter button
select new
and then press the enter button
you can now set the alarm to go off
on a specific date
a specific day
or the same time everyday
for example
I'm going to set the alarm to go off on Monday
at 5pm
I select monday
then using the up and down arrows select 5pm
once I selected the time
I'll press the enter button
now I have a choice to have the alarm beep and play the recording
just beep
or just play the recording
I will choose to just play the recording
executing is displayed
my alarm is now set
to exit
just press the stop sbutton
