This is my husband, Steve.
He travels for work - a lot.
Boston this week, Hong Kong next month, Bangalore the month after that.
He’s been at it for more than a decade.
And this is me, Tag Along Deb.
I run a PR practice, and for years I waved goodbye to Steve every other week as he jetted
off to his next destination while I was grounded at home with my career.
I’m not going to lie, being apart that much took a toll.
Sure the endless duty-free shopping and lifetime supply of little hotel soaps made up for a lot, but
after awhile, it just wasn’t enough.
It was no barrel of monkeys for Steve either.
He missed out on stuff at home like parties, concerts, family events, broken appliances,
taking care of me when I got sick!
And, you know, his road warrior life was a lonely one.
Something had to give.
Steve thought he had the solution.
He said, “You just need to tag along with me.”
As crazy as that sounded to me at first, life in the age of the Internet made it possible.
Lots of people work remotely, why couldn’t I?
Guess what.
It worked.
And that’s how Tag Along Travel was born.
It’s where I share trip reviews, tips on how to make the most of business travel, working
remotely, long-distance relationship advice, and stories about other tag-along travellers.
If your spouse is a frequent business traveller, this is your community!
And if you’re not living life with a road warrior, but just love travel, well, you can
tag along too.
See you soon at TagAlongTravel.com
