Hi, this is Ricky Huynh with Seagate Technology, and this video will show you how to set-up
the Eclipse Application Platform onto your computer.
To view the step-by-step list, first go to developers.seagate.com and click on Kinetic
Open Storage Software Developer Package.
On this page you will the download Eclipse IDE section, which shows the step-by-step
list of what we will be doing in this video.
First step is to go eclipse.org/downloads, which will bring you to Eclipse website and
shows the different package solutions that you can get.
The package that we suggest using is the Eclipse IDE for Java Developers. You can click on
that and on this page you will see a list of download links on the right.
And the download links are for the different operating systems. Choose the operating system
for your computer and download.
After the download is complete, you will get a file similar to this. Double click on that
and it will generate an eclipse folder.
Opening this folder, you will see the Eclipse application right here.
You can double click to open on that, click open. After a few moments, a prompt will come
up for you to select your location and name for the workspace.
In this example, I would just keep it at default and click ok.
After a few moments, the workbench will open up and it’ll look something like this, and
you are ready to go.
