Hi! This is Grace Fitzpatrick here on behalf of Expert Village, and I’m going to talk
to you about putting hair on your sock puppet. For hair I've chosen yellow yarn. You can
choose I said before, any kind of material as long as it ends of being hair like. That
can be a very broad definition. There are several ways you can attach the hair to your
puppet. You can staple it on. You can sew it on doing a quick stitch around the end,
or you could do what I'm going to do today, which is just glue it on. That's probably
the easiest thing to do. However, it might not be the longest lasting. Just keep that
in mind when you're choosing how to attach your hair. If you take a look at my sock puppet,
I drew 4 little dots where I'm going to attach the hair. What I'm going to do is just do
dots of glue on each black mark like I did with the eyes, and then attach the hair. Put
the tips of the hair on that glue. I'm just putting dots of glue like this. Remember,
a little goes a long way, so you don't want to use too much glue. It can get messy pretty
quickly. I'm going to attach each little piece of yarn just putting the tip and holding it
down for about 20 seconds each pressing down pretty hard.
