It's the largest sustainability event here at CSUMB and it's open to the community that garcia cnp n_f_l_ pentium indiana
and to the students.
I'm excited about the variety of speakers that we have.
I always excited about the exhibitors. We always have the bike blender guy,
he's a real favorite. and there's a lot of other really great exhibits. There's going to be
electric vehicles there that the um... different exhibitors showing different
products that uh... for education and sustainability. We have Dr. Beryl Levinger, she's
actually
a professor at Myst.
And she'll be defining what is sustainability and different aspects of
sustainability such as
financial sustainability
and businesses sustainability. We also have another speaker who's a
at pioneer green architecture. He's one of the first in the country, I mean he's
always been years ahead of his time
His name is Sim Van der Ryn and he's coming from iran and uh...
he was involved with
uh... going back to do is the construction of a hassle. And our
last speaker is Noel Sturgeon and she's actually going to be coming from York University
From York, Canada, and her
connection to the region is she got her phD and did some of her work at
UC Santa Cruz. Focus the Region has had free lunch to all attendees
who are there during lunch time.
That may continue this time depending on the number of attendees so
there's a free lunch between eleven thirty twelve thirty and I say that
the first two hundred attendees.
It's a great way for them to really interact and get involved.
And that's the biggest key, is that these organizations really need
student and community involvement and it's a great opportunity for them
to attend.
