-I absolutely remember my first day at law school.
-Everyone comes from a different background.
I came from Syria into law school.
Another person has come in from Bangladesh.
-From the first day, I could not believe
how talented, how intelligent, how funny,
and how diverse all of the people that I met were.
-The students tell me that there's
so many things to do that it's almost overwhelming.
-A number of us recently founded an a cappella choir
called the Chords of Appeal, which has been a fun diversion.
Of course, there are intramural sports
that people take part in.
-There's a range of student outreach programs, which
allows you to get early practical legal experience.
-We have a clinical program, where
they help people that don't have legal representation.
-Pub nights on Thursdays are a great tradition,
and I've definitely enjoyed my fair share.
-I think this year the students started a napping club.
-There's so much more to student life than just academia.
And it's an opportunity and a great platform
to make lifelong friends.
-We have people that were film directors.
We have people that were musicians.
We have people that were scientists.
-People should come in having confidence
in their own experiences and very
willing to follow what they're interested in to new heights.
-It's like this constant exchange of ideas.
-Get help from other people, find other people
that are passionate about the same things.
-We need you and we need a different type of student
to go on and become judges, so that we continue
to have a diverse legal profession.
-Don't be afraid to be confident in yourself.
Confidence enough to take something
that you're passionate about and make something happen with it.
