Right there you just saw me jumping a hip jump. It is different from a regular jump
and really you don't have to go as fast. For certain types of trick it's also a lot easier
to learn tricks on, for example I just did a table top, is a trick that I perfected on
hip jumps because really don't have to go a fast and you are actually naturally turning
a little bit so any sort of trick where part of the trick involved turning your body is
usually going to be a little bit easier to do on a hip jump. The other element that makes
them really fun is you can go more or less as faster or slow as you want to. You can
make it over a hip jump going barely walking speed in a lot of cases and there are other
situations where you can really open it up and ride as fast as you want, pull up hard
and just absolutely blast them. So there is a whole lot of different variations of a hip
jump at least as many of there of a regular jump and what makes them different is you
have a much wider landing area so your speed is a lot more up to your comfort level rather
than the requirements of the jump.
