Continuing with pluses and minuses for a giving Omaha hand let us look at queen, queen, nine,
nine. Now what strikes us at this point is that both the nines are red and both the queens
are black so that means that we don't have a flush potential working for us. What is
in favor, in our favor is that two queens is relatively strong if this was Texas Hold'em
we would play quite strong. Since this is Omaha we need to understand that there is
a good chance of a pair of kings or a pair of aces being out there against us. We do
have two pairs, when you have two pairs in Omaha you have a one and three approximately
chances of making a set on the flop. In addition and this is the final thing in our favor we
have a two gap straight draw if a jack and a ten comes then we have four parts to a straight.
Now what is not in our favor is that our straight draw is only a two gap straight draw and we're
relying on a jack and a ten. So as much as this hand can make you a set of nines or a
set of queens and there is a decent chance of that you still need to play it cautiously.
