What is the easiest way to break your own foot?
Why do you want to shoot yourself in the foot?
I don’t want to shoot myself. I want to know how it could happen.
If you drop something on your foot, you could break it. Bowling balls, bricks, tools, anything.
I’ve heard of people breaking a bone and still walking away.
There are 26 bones in your feet. If you step on something and generate a hard force on
a particular spot, you could break a bone in the foot while still being able to use
it.
How do they fix that?
Put your foot in a cast, sometimes. Remove the broken bone and screw the rest together,
sometimes.
I’ve heard of people with a plate in their foot. It is a little less severe than having
a plate in your head.
You could break your foot just jumping from a high place and landing wrong. People break
their own feet far more often than a skull.
What could break your foot?
Land on a curb on the arch of your foot instead of the flat of your feet. Then again, twisting
and falling while wearing heels could do it.
It sounds like it is easy to break a foot.
That might be why they tell actors not to break a leg, because it is so easy.
I’ve heard of heels ruining your feet. I never thought of it breaking them.
Women falling in high heels when going down stairs, on broken pavement and uneven parking
lots break a lot of ankles and feet.
The high price of beauty. Wearing super-high heels could land you in an air cast or clunky
black boot.
What’s another way someone could break a foot?
One of the worst ways to have it happen is when someone runs over the foot. That breaks
a lot of the bones simultaneously, and they can’t be rebuilt collectively like one bone
could.
I’d rather shoot myself in the foot.
