Manor Royal Bid. My name is Paul Searle, and P and H motorcycles
is my company. Hi, its Steve Rham from S4B and Flightstore.
My name is Mark Curtis, I run a company called Spit Image.
Hi My name is Dan Shaw, I'm from Haylan and Whittle.
My name is Mark Duggan, I'm the Managing Director of Eezehaul.
Strong supporter of the Bid, I think it's one of the best things we could do.
I think the Bid is a great opportunity for all the businesses on Manor Royal. The cost
for the Bid is only 1% of rateable value, so it's an absolute no brainer.
I think the bid is a very good idea. I can understand why there are some concerns, as
to why any business in the current climate would want to pay more, however for the benefits
that it definitely can deliver and the potential it offers, I think the levy is very very good
value, and so we support it 100%. As a business on your own, you have no voice
really. You can't get anything done, to have a strong voice, which the MRBG is, and to
have it well funded will allow us to do things that we cannot do, and quite a lot of things
have already been done. It just seems that everybody wants more of
this, wants more trading together, and that has been a key factor that was recognised
at day one 18 months ago. I am hoping that by coming together as a group,
we can do something about the broadband issues on the estate.
We suffer from diesel theft, and catalytic converter theft which is sadly on the increase.
If one incidence of that per annum was stopped that would pay for two years contributions
as far as we are concerned in one foul swoop. If you receive one of these flyers coming
through your door, you must read it, and act fast, get the ratepayer to understand what
we are asking. On the 29th March you need to vote, and you need to vote yes in favour
of the Bid.
