Hi everybody! So, today we're gonna be making frozen
breakfast burritos and they're all gonna be homemade! So, I thought
that I would do this because I'm really busy throughout the week. I'm working almost 40
hours and I'm taking classes in school. So, I don't have a lot of time on my hands in the morning.
I still want to be have something that's you know partially satisfying for me.
Not just have cereal. Although the cereal that I have, I love
and I eat it anyways. But something a little more hearty. So, we're gonna be
making breakfast burritos. You can make them with a variety of ingredients in them.
Then what we're gonna do is make a whole bunch of them at one time, then we're gonna freeze them!
That way in the morning, you can just go ahead, pull one out of the freezer, throw it in the microwave,
nuke it for a few minutes, and its good to go. You can just eat it on the way!
So, I'm gonna show you guys what we're gonna need for our breakfast burritos. Now, mind you
what I'm gonna put in them, and what you're gonna put in them might vary. You can always
make totally different style breakfast burritos. Whatever you want inside of them.
But this is what I'm gonna put in mine! Alright, so let's show you the ingredients. The first
ingredient that we're gonna need are the tortillas. So, I'm just using
100% whole wheat Mission tortillas.
These are just about a medium soft shelled
taco size. If you want, you can go ahead and get like the large
burrito ones. But I think these are a good enough size for me.
If I want I can eat 2 or something like that. I got them
whole wheat just because its better for you. The next item that I'm gonna be using
is eggs. Most breakfast burritos, the base is
eggs. So, I just have a dozen large
eggs. It doesn't matter if they are white, or brown, or large or small.
Doesn't really matter. The next item that I'm gonna use is a vegetable.
I'm not putting too many vegetables in mine. I'm just gonna put one.
Its gonna be a green pepper. If you want to put in
other things like broccoli, or if you want to put in um more
hot peppers you can do that. I'm just gonna keep it really simple because I'm making them for
myself, and my wife. So, its easier to just put the one thing that she likes.
So we're gonna do that. I'm gonna be putting in some
of mine, a country style chicken sausage. It has
sage and thyme. It's really good. This is Al Fresco.
Country Styel. So, this is really nice. It has good flavor.
This ones already cooked so we can just warm it up and then chop that up and put that in
the burrito. If you don't eat meat, you can put tofu in yours. Or you
can put a meat substitute, or you don't have to put anything like that in there if you don't want to. I'm gonna do
that for one of my burritos. Another item that I'll be using is cheese.
So, I just have some shredded mild cheddar cheese. You can put
pepper jack. You can put whatever cheese that you want in there. Mozzerella,
um you don't have to put cheese in there if you don't want. But you can do that.
So, I'll be putting cheese in some. The next item I might be putting in some of mine
are black beans. These are just regular black beans in the can.
I already had one open, so I'm gonna use up some of these. Then
to go with these, I'm gonna put salsa! So,
I'm getting low on my salsa here. I just have some medium grade
salsa. So, I'm gonna put that in with my cheese and my egg
and the beans and kinda make like a salsa taco. If you want
to you can put some chicken in there. All mine's in the freezer right now, so I'm not gonna
do that. But if you wanted to, you can put some chicken in and make it a chicken salsa
mexicana burrito! So,
that is what you're gonna need other than obviously your cooking utensils like your pan and your
spatulas and oil and all of that stuff. So, now I'm gonna go ahead and
we're gonna make our eggs. We're just gonna scramble them. I'll show you how to do that.
Then we'll start cooking our sausage and
we just have to chop up a pepper. Which, I won't show you that
cause that's pretty boring. So, I'm gonna ahead chop up my pepper and then I'll show you guys
the eggs and the sausage. Be right back! (music)
(music continues)
Ok, so now
we have everything cooked and I have everything set out on the table. I'm gonna show you
what it looks like, and then I'm gonna show you what I do to make
them. I'm gonna put them together, and how I wrap them up in my plastic wrap!
Alright, so let me show you what we got going here. Ok, guys so
here is what the set is up going to be. So, I'll show you each thing. I have
our green peppers that are cut up. There's our sausage that
we cooked. All of our yummy eggs. Our
beans, our salsa, our cheese,
and our tortilla. So, I have uh
2 spoons here. One for beans, one for salsa, and then just a spatula
for our eggs. You can just use your hands if you want, since you're making them all yourself. But
I'll show you guys me making them now. (music)
(music continues)
Ok, guys so here are all of my burritos. I put these two in
foil cause they are different. These are the salsa, bean
ones without any chicken sausage in them. Then these are all the same. They're all
chicken, green pepper, cheese,
uhh and eggs. (laughs) So, these ones are all
done. So, I'm just gonna put them into bags, and then put them in the freezer!
Ok, guys so I hope you enjoyed this video, and hopefully it will help you
out. If you don't have any time in the morning for breakfast. Umm again
this is a really great thing to do, because you know what you're putting into your food. So, it can
be a lot healthier for you. You can make these as healthy, or as unhealthy as you want them.
But again its just something quick and easy to do. Make them up on a Sunday and have them ready
for the rest of the week. Well I hope you guys are gonna enjoy the cooking videos that I
am going to be making you. If you have any suggestions for something that you want to see me cook that's
not too hard. I'm not like Chef Emeril Lagasse!
But if you want to see me do something, let me know and I'll try
my best to make it for you guys. Alright have a good night, have a good day, have a good morning!
Bye guys!
