Forget what you know about roller derby, the ladies here at Derby Lite are here to break
a sweat, not bones.
Classes begin with a warm up and exercises like you'd see in a class at a gym, only the
outfits are a little different.
You don't have to be an expert skater to take a class. If you can lace up then you might
be ready to get your gear on and roll out.
This week, I am helping with a beginner class to teach them all the right moves.
Learning the proper techniques to fall, glide and slide with style are all important.
And you don't have to do it alone. We do several partner drills to learn more Derby moves that
require agility and control.
Sometimes the class is just about the need for speed, or even just having fun.
