Well hello there! Today I have been out doing a slimy job. I have been out in the barn looking
inside the mouths of cows to find out how many teeth they have. Let me just say, EeeeYuk!
But, have no fear we found out how many teeth an adult cow has. In total, they have 32 teeth.
They have 8 incisors that are on the bottom in the front, 6 molars on each side of the
top and bottom. Cows don’t have teeth on the top front; they have what is called a
dental pad. Since a cows teeth come in at different ages, you can tell how old a cow
is by which teeth have come in and how much wear they have.
Ok, we’ve saved you the trouble of looking in a cows mouth to count teeth, now you have
more time to give us a thumbs up and go chew some cud.
