We are arriving at the harbour of Algeciras/Spain at dawn.
Our 7 Cars and 19 drivers made the distance of 1200 kilometers
from Irun up to here without any rest - just for taking diesel.
The ferry is already waiting for us. The cars are entering just in time.
We still mourn for our spoiled white Terrano car,
which we had to give up in Irun/ Northern Spain.
The crossing to Tanger takes one hour, passing the island of Gibraltar.
We only spend one hour for the Moroccan bureaucracy to be done
for all 7 cars on their transit to The Gambia. We are astonished.
At noon we arrived in Morocco. Now its 1.20 pm. All bureaucracy is done,
all cars are imported. It was the quickest entry we ever had...
There are 550 more kilometers, we have to go today.
We have driven 20 kilometers in Morocco from the ferry.
The weather is fine, travel speed as well. We are moving forward.
Within the cars plenty of technical equipment, wired freakly,
but without energy on board it would not work.
We are driving, living, working and sleeping within our cars.
It s raining cats and dogs, we expected something different in Africa.
But the convoy is moving fast over the highway and the weather is clearing up.
Now its 4.30 pm. We are on our way to Marrakech.
There were no problems at all today. Everything went well – wonderful.
Its getting warmer now, we are in Africa.
But what we are looking forward most, having a bed and a shower tonight.
I think, this is very much required indeed. What do you think, guys?
Half past eight we reach Marrakech.
We will spend two nights in a comfortable bed.
Tomorrow we deserve to have a day off.
