A couple of months ago
we made a video about our visit to G-Tech
Back then we saw this car standing there
but there was to much snow to drive it
so that wasn't going to work
we came back
and it is very hot, it's 35 degrees
even hotter inside the car but we'll come to that
we're going to start on the outside
as you may know they have lowered the roof
it's called a 'chop'
he got the idea from an employee
who brought a magazine to shop
and in there was a 'chopped' hot-rod
so he thought: let's do that with an Abarth
this is the result
it looks like a conceptcar made by Abarth
like a 'Concept Coupé', it looks great
if Abarth would present this at a big carshow
it would be al people would talk about
it looks very well made
no hints of the old roof or seams
very well done
there are some more G-Tech alterations
the diffuser, the exhaust
black stickers in those 'gills'
a G-Tech logo
and when we look over here
we can see how short that is
not a whole lot of visibility through the back window
but it looks awesome
then we have the tyres, wheels and brakes
and for the Dutch viewers
Vredestein-Giugiaro tyres
they look cool, especially the threat
those lines look cool
the wheels are new and look fantastic
they look like they belong on the track
because they are almost wider than the car
because of that it looks very compact and punchy
very nice
over here some Abarth-style striping with "Sportster"on it
over here you can see the roofline
they look like maffiacar windows
the Chrysler 300C also has them
as you can see, there are no seams
anywhere
it is really well put together
very well-done
we continue
to the front of the car
again, styling wise, very well-done
two black blocks on the hood
looks very racy
and of course another G-Tech emblem
and a Bilstein sticker
it has Bilstein dampers and suspension
very hard, but we'll discuss that later on
when you look at it like this
it seems like an extreme Abarth
G-Tech is a car manufacturer
not a tuner
and it shows
but let's find out how it drives
because it looks like a race-abarth
as I said, it feels like a race car
it is 35 degrees outside
and about 50 degrees in here
the airconditioning doesn't work
[Inaudible]
I'm so hot but it doesn't matter because it is a race car
this car of course is like a showcase for G-Tech
to show the world what they can do
this is ridiculous for daily use
but it is so much fun
It has 224 BHP
but it feels like it has a lot more
this has to be one of the most fun cars
i've ever driven
I've driven a lot of great stuff
these past days at MTM
the MTM cars feel like they roll out of the factory like that
and this is the complete opposite of that
Fantastic!
If you have an Abarth
I would really recommend to pay G-tech a visit
because they build the most incredible 500's
and not just 500's
they're going to do Alfa's as well
so when they have the Alfa 4C
we will definitely be back
but for now
I'm going to sweat a bit more
and drive this awesome thing a bit longer
this is so much fun!
