We're here today at
Pulau Ubin
which is on the
northeastern corner of Singapore,
near Changi Village.
And we're gonna check it out it's a kampong
island so it's like stepping back into Singapore of twenty years ago.
So we're gonna get a bike, have a ride around and see what we can see.
Once you've get on your bike, you can go on all of the easily marked roads of Pulau Ubin,
there's lots of signs and maps so there's no way you can get lost. Things to checked
out are the quarrys which are really nice and you might see a monitor lizards or
the birdlife.
There's lots of drinks and refreshments stations on the island and when you're
done with your bike ride, you can come back to the jetty and lots of seafood
places where you can relax and enjoy a nice seafood meal by the water.
The easiest way to get here is to take a taxi from the city, takes about twenty five
minutes and it would cost you over twenty dollars.
Tell them to go to Changi Village, the Pulau Ubin ferry terminal and
when you get there, you go down the stairs and you wait by the benches until
there's twelve people. Once there's twelve people, the person who owns the boat will let you
onto his boat and that's when you'll pay the two dollars, fifty, per person to get over
to Pulau Ubin.
So there you have it, Pulau Ubin.
Might not be everyone's cup of tea but if you're a natural lover like me, you should
definitely check it out.
