KRISTEN: how they are
remembering
stephanie and justin
shults.
"It might seem fun at
the time, but it's not
worth it."
A married couple is
arrested in Laurel
County after
authorities find them
passed out in their
vehicle with their son in
the back seat.
"WKYT News begins
with Weather."
A RAINY END TO OUR
EASTER WEEKEND.
THANKS FOR STAYING
UP WITH WKYT.
I'M KRISTEN
KENNEDY.
WE ARE TRACKING
STORMS MOVING
ACROSS THE
BLUEGRASS TONIGHT..
WE BEGIN WITH WKYT
METEOROLOGIST JIM
CALDWELL ... AND
YOUR 'NO WAIT'
WEATHER FORECAST.
Thunderstorms will be
moving into the area
later tonight. Some of
those still have the
chance to arrive on the
stronger side.I certainly
hope that you were
able to enjoy this
Easter Sunday. Other
than the cloud cover...
it has been a fantastic
day! Temperatures
jumped into the upper
60s and low 70s. A
frontal boundary will
change all of that as
we move through the
overnight hours and
into Monday. Daytime
highs will drop by
roughly 20 degrees.
Our late front will bring
rounds of showers and
thunderstorms. It has
the potential to fire off
some storms that will
feature very strong
winds and hail. While
most of our area is
only under what is
called the "Marginal"
risk of severe weather,
a few of us are under
the "Slight" risk. Again,
the primary threats
from any of these
thunderstorms will
likely be winds around
60 MPH and hail.
Once the front moves
out of the
commonwealth, the
cooler air will dive into
the region. That's when
our temperatures will
make the run into the
low 50s for highs. The
air will not stay cool
long. We'll be back in
the low 70s by
Wednesday.

JUSTIN AND
STEPHANIE LOVED THE
JOURNEY THEY WERE
ON TOGETHER, AND
WERE TRULY LIVING
OUT THEIR DREAM
LIVING AND WORKING
IN BELGIUM
SOT
traveled every weekend
making the most of the
short time they had
there .... running with
the bulls, stayed in ice
hotel, went to the
vatican .... they were
living the dream like
most of wish we had
done.
living out their dreams
in the town hit by
terror attacks, the
couple last seen saying
goodbye to stephanies
mother at the airport
who had been in
brussels visiting from
lexington
SOT
what if they had been
later to the airport,
what if they had been
earlier ... my sister
would have been
through security and
stephanie and justin
would be back to their
car ... but you can't do
what ifs
after days of
uncertainty, their worst
fears confrimed ... the
lexington native and
her husband killed in
the attack.
SOT
if not knowing for
longer would bring
them back then lets go
on not knowing but if
was going to be the
ultimate end lets get
this part done and the
healing start ... the
wonderful memories
come out
while it is not the
outcome they had
hoped for, now
focusing on
remembering two very
special people
SOT
she never had a
negative opinion of
anyone ... she was a
peacemaker and if
there were family and
friends upset she was
the one trying to make
peace she is the kind of
person you wish
everyone was.
SOT
"His beautiful smile
and outgoing spirit. He
hated no one. He
would friend anyone in
the world. I mean, he
was just that kind of
person. If he met you
for the first time you'd
think he'd been your
friend your whole life. I
just miss seeing his...his
beautiful smile
and....sorry."

WKYT'S CAITLIN
CENTNER IS TALKING
TO THE FATHER ...
ABOUT THE CHARGES.
Joshua GrigsbyI've
been sitting in a jail cell
crying for about an
hour and a half now.
A Laurel County mom
and dad are behind
bars; their children in
custody of other family
members after police
say they found them
passed out in their car,
in a stranger's drive
way, while one of their
sons slept in the
backseat.
Dad, Joshua Grigsby,
says he and wife, Kayla,
drove to pick up a
friend who had been
drinking.
Joshua Grigsby
So I told him 'Yeah,
sure I'll come get ya,'
because that's not safe.
Joshua Grigsby
The next thing I know I
got cops pulling my
door open and shining
a light in my face
asking what the hell I
was doing there.
Caitlin Centner: So you
don't remember falling
asleep there?
Joshua Grigsby: No.
Joshua Grigsby admits
to taking a number of
drugs earlier in the day,
but says when he was
out driving he didn't
feel he was still under
the influence.
Gilbert Acciardo
Both of them very
much under the
influence, passed out in
a driveway where no
one even knew the
vehicle.
Grigsby says he had
used ***, smoked
marijuana and taken
percocet.
Both mom and dad
face criminal abuse
charges, among others.
Gilbert Acciardo
If we find you in this
position we're going to
arrest you. We're going
to place the most
serious charges on you
that we can and we
don't care if your child
is taken away from you.
We don't care if you
ever get your child
back because this is
not tolerable.
Grigsby said he regrets
his decision to do
drugs... and says there's
no excuse for it.
Joshua Grigsby
It's not worth it. It
might seem fun at the
time, but it's not worth
it.

THE OFFENSE LOOKED
A BIT AHEAD OF THE

WAS AN EMPHASIS
PLACED ON RUNNING
THE BALL TO OPEN UP
THE PASS.
Eddie Gran "You know
we want to be really
physical. We want to
run the ball first and so
that's what we're going
to do. You run the ball
well and then you've
got a chance to open
up things in the
passing game so I
hope they do. I'm
excited, I'm excited
about this, I love this
game. I love what I do

STOOPS SAYS HE
HASN'T REACHED HIS
POTENTIAL YET.
Mark Stoops: "You
know he's got a lot of
work to do. It's hard as
you know, sometimes
guys that have some
success as a true
freshman, they don't
truly understand how
much it takes to take it
to the next level, and
Chris is a great kid and
he knows how to work,
but it's just constantly.
He's got a lot to learn
still and a lot to
do."Chris Westry: "The
biggest thing I learned
is the game of college
football is way faster so
there's no such thing
as taking plays off. You
always have to have
your head on a swivel
pretty much and you
just have to be ready at
all times."
