KYRA: This summer, give your imagination a passport
by visiting countries around the world through crafts.
Penguins live in freezing-cold temperatures.
Keep yourself cool this summer with a fun foam penguin visor.
What you'll need is a foam visor,
a piece of orange felt,
Creatology Wiggle Eyes,
black and white paint.
You also need glue,
paintbrushes
and a pair of safety scissors.
Before you begin:
...to print your pattern.
I've gone ahead and painted the face of the penguin already,
using the pattern and the white paint.
Next, using your paintbrush and your black paint,
we're going to create the details for the penguin's face.
Now, I like to go ahead and create an outline first
and then go back in and fill it in with paint.
And, there you go, you have your penguin face started now.
Then, taking your white paint and your paintbrush,
you can go ahead and add some decorative dots.
All right, now our penguin just needs some finishing details.
And from your pattern that you printed from michaels.com,
you're going to trace and cut out the beak for your penguin.
I've already gone ahead and traced it and cut it out.
You're going to attach it, using your glue,
right to the center of his face.
Last, add his eyes.
Using your Wiggle Eyes and your glue,
attach them to the cute little face.
Now your penguin visor can travel everywhere you do.
