Hey guys it's time for Tiffany's Top Picks of the week. Today is the first week of Spring
so I'm really excited about that because I have a lot of things to bring to you that
are Spring-related. So, I had this idea, I noticed I had a lot of cool things laying
around my house so I was like "I want to start a Vlog with all my favorite things!" So hopefully
I can share some with you and hopefully you can get inspired. So to begin with I wanted
to talk about this Essie nail polish it is in, I believe it is Turquoise and Caicos.
Like the island. I have it on my nails here and I love it. It needs a few coats but its
still really pretty. I've gotten compliments on it from strangers. It's $8 and you can
get it at CVS or Rite Aid. Te next item in my favorite things collection is this lipstick
by Loreal Paris. It's about $6 and it's a good Springy color because it's Tropical Coral.
I have it on, you can't see it as well on me with the lighting but I absolutely love
it for $6 so I keep putting it on and reapplying it. It actually leaves a pretty stain on my
lips. So I got this at Target the other day because I randomly got a free gift card in
the mail. I know this is not Spring but it goes back to Christmas. My dad got me this
adorable mug from Anthropologie. I think it was on sale for $10. For $10 it's quite expensive
for a mug but I enjoy my coffee in the morning and really love having tea in it and whenever
I have tea parties at the house, all the girls want the owl. I wanted to share with you guys
something we got in the mail today it is actually a postcard. It was written to my husband and
it's from Gospel for Asia which is an organization we support financially because we're really
really passionate about India. This little postcard was sent from someone with the organization
and we get these actually quite frequently. This is from a man called Patrick and he wrote
"Dear Dustin Greetings from your family at Gospel for Asia. This morning I had the great
honor of praying for you and your family. Thank you for all of your prayers and support.
Your helping reach the lost in South Asia." And that was really cool because you know
sometimes you just support organizations and you don't hear back from them or especially
not personally where someone would be praying for you and your family. So that really touched
us. The little girl we do support her name is Asrita Orian and she is 6 years old and
is in the Bridge of Hope Program. It's $35 a month but it covers her food, her education,
and a lot of other really great things. So that was one of my favorite things this week.
It really brightened my day. Another thing I got in the mail, Urban Decay was having
a great sale and I ended up getting this makeup for Valentines Day and I forget the name of
the palette but it has some really awesome colors if you can see in there. I'm just getting
braver with some blues and some pinks. Right now I like the Rockstar which is a purple
and I also like Infamous which is this really high pigmented pink. So, and the brush is
super cute. I have the Naked Palette which is a lot bigger but this is kind of a fun,
rockstar, going out, you know creative little tin and I've been using this quite a bit.
I don't have it on now but I've been using the blue. In addition to that, I read a lot
as many of you know and this week I finished a really good book, I got it in Goodwill for
like $1 or $2 and it was by Amy Cohen who is a really funny author and its backwards
because I'm using my laptop but it's The Late Bloomers Revolution, A Memoir and it was really
good. It talked about just her endless dating life and how she came to just learn to love
herself and love herself in her singleness and it's just really funny. It talks about
a lot of things I can relate to just not feeling like you're enough or feeling like you're
too much at one point so I really enjoyed it. I read it in like three days just in the
bathtub. It just really struck a cord with me. So I wanted to share it with you guys.
It's about the lady is 35 and she is still single and she just talks about that and her
countless dating opportunities so its The Late Bloomers Revolution by Amy Cohen. It
has a really cool cover too, she learns to ride a bike at 35. Last but not least when
I was in FLorida, I've been trying to journal more often and Dustin I begged him and he
bought me these little notebooks that are hand bound and I forget who they're by, it
doesn't say but each one has a cool little quote in them and this one says that "every
moment of your life including this one is a fresh start" did I just say Shart? Oh my
goodness. IT's by BJ Marshall and another thing, on an ending note I wanted to share
after saying Shart, is a Bible verse that I have been listening to and just meditating
on and that is Proverbs 21:13 and that verse says "If a man shuts his ears to the cry of
the poor, he will cry out and not be answered." And that's Proverbs 21:13. And that's just
kind of been laying on my heart and I don't know, I've been trying to meditate on it and
really think of ways that I can tangibly help those that are in need around me whether it's
just someone that needs a smile or someone that needs something tangible like food or
a ride somewhere.
