At Davo's one of the key themes is
digital disruption and in Accenture's latest research
Remaking customer markets we focus on how
markets have been transformed by digital.
So if you look at the way that online shopping is transforming
retail if you look at the growth all remote diagnostics in health care
look at mobile payments and how the payments
sector is being transformed by more peer to peer lending
and also looking at things like advanced manufacturing and how
the growth of low-cost sensors are making it much easier to manage the way
that we are repairing and maintaining assets
all of these ways are transforming industries
and industry boundaries and what that means for company's
is that essentially we've got to be a lot more focused on the customer experience
understanding how customers are using both digital
technologies as well as physical infrastructure so both using
online shopping as well as going into retail shops
thinking a little about when they might need to go to hospital but also
thinking about
when remote diagnostics can be a good alternative to being hospitals
these are ways that customers are experiencing
these critical sort of new services that'd be afforded by digital
but secondly, we are finding the company's are partnering
new business models are being formed companies like Verizon are going into
the car market
companies like Tesco's are looking to provide tablets
so what we're seeing is that companies which have strong assets like customer
data
are able to get into alternative markets and clearly it also means
the not only do you need to understand the customer experience it's about good
partnering
but it's also about having the right digital skills in your business
