Today we're going to make something from our new detox menu. You know how it is when you
start the new year, you really want to have a new you.
So we decided that we're going to put together a detox menu, that will really get you going on your weight loss
goals for this year.
So the detox menu it is.
Today we're going to make a cool green soup, basically a raw soup.
It's quite delicious, believe it or not.
and we also have
a fruit and spinach salad. Let's get started with our detox lunch.
First of all you need a blender.
Again it's very good to have a 400 watt blender. You really need
some power behind you on the blender.
What we have is 2 cucumbers,
peeled and cut up.
We're just going to add those to our blender.
Cut them up in a decent way..
Then I've got 2 stalks of celery, also all cut up.
I have 1 avocado here.
You can add 1 or 1/2 of an avocado, whatever you choose to do.
Add that into your blender as well.
You can see why we're calling it cool green soup.
I've got a cool trick for you, for the dill. You're going to add 1/4 cup of fresh dill.
What I've done is I've washed the dill and pulled
all the little dill
leafy things from this big stalk.
Then I take that
and I hold it. I use my kitchen shears
to just chop it
very easily into the blender container.
That way you're going to get it nice and crumbled up.
To that, we've got 4 cups distilled water.
You can use bottled water, but you don't want to use tap water.
A little bit right now on the top.
We're going to give it a whirl.
Cut out the noise for a minute.
I'm telling you, this stuff looks split pea soup, it's delicious.
It's chilled.
To make it look really nice,
it's nice to take your dill
and just lay that on out.
Don't forget your fruit and spinach salad. All we have here is organic spinach,
sliced up, fresh,
organic strawberries and oranges, just cut up.
We've taken a little bit of orange juice and some raspberries, whirled those in the blender.
That will serve as your dressing,
toss that right over the top.
There you have it,
a detox lunch. Enjoy!
