How to make a chocolate fondant with Chef Sylvain ...
Butter a cake tin with a paint brush and some melted butter, line the sides of the cake tin with a baking sheet before buttering again.
Preheat your oven to 150°C then melt the chocolate progressively in a water-bath or a microwave.
Add the butter into the melted chocolate then whisk.
Break the eggs in a container and add the sugar before whisking.
Add the flour, the walnut powder and the candied orange peels. Whisk and add the chocolate-butter mixture.
Once well mixed, pour the final mixture in the cake tin and cook it in a 150°C oven during 45 minutes to 1 hour, while keeping an eye on the cooking process.
After the cooking and when the chocolate fondant has cooled down, you can remove it from the tin and decorate it before serving.
