You want
to use an image in your online class, can you? You find a really great audio
clip to use with you students, should you? And how should you site it
if you can? The vagaries of copyright law can be confusing. And it's
often difficult to know where and when you can use others materials in your class or with you students.
This presentation will introduce you to the basics around copyright,
fair use, Teach Act, and Creative Commons, while explaining
how you might use materials legally and responsibly in your classes. This
session focuses on what you can do, rather than emphasizing what you're
not allowed to do. So come and learn where to find the best free to use resources on the web
and how to quickly and accurately give attribution so that you're in the clear.
