So, students on campus come from all different backgrounds and sometimes
you want to make sure that you don't judge the book by its cover
so one thing can be coming into relationships, friendships, group
projects with an open mind.
Make sure everyone feels welcome
to the team. If I see someone off in the corner that doesn't feel that they're part of the team, I'll go and check up on them and make sure everything's OK with them.
If you lay out everyone's ideas and then you
realize, oh, I would've never thought about that that's a really good idea and
then you can play off of other people's idea to hopefully come up with
a really good
final end result.
It is really important to be able to have a diversity of perspectives,
diversity of experiences to really look at problems that we want to solve at this university
or in our communities, from different angles.
