Hi! I’m Yvette Parish, and thank you for visiting expertvillage.com. Today, we’re
going to be talking about high heels. Right now, I am modeling the wedge sandals you would
wear during summer. If you notice, on the heel it has a cork heel. Typically, this type
of sandal and shoe is good for summer. You would not wear this type of shoe in the winter.
Any cork, or open toe like this is really spring to summer shoe. Where I’m at, I’m
in Texas, and it’s always really hot and sunny here, so I can kind of get away with
wearing my shoes longer. But typically, if you have all 4 seasons, this would be a summer
and spring shoe. Now, the wedges are higher. If you notice, it’s a good 3 or 4 inches
higher. It’s so comfortable, because of the wedge you can walk really easily in them.
If you have any trouble walking in the wedges, you can find them that have a strap, and ankle
strap. That’ll even be more secure with your feet. The same way when you’re walking
with your wedge, test them out when you’re in the store. Make sure you can turn in them;
make sure that they’re comfortable. I always kind of do the heel toe test. I do the heel
toe, and I make sure that the heel fits and the toes are not hurting. I kind of dance
in my shoes a little bit in the store before I buy them. I kind of check and make sure
they feel good on my feet, they’re not flopping out. Also, you want to be able to walk a little
quickly. You want to be able to walk quickly. If you can walk slightly quickly in your shoes,
they’re also comfortable shoes. Because you don’t want to just dart out to go get
maybe one of your kids, and your shoe falls off. Kind of when you’re trying on your
shoes, I walk a little quickly, I do a little circle, I check my little toe heel. The sales
people probably think I’m crazy, but all my shoes fit. That’s my advice. Really try
them on a little bit and feel them, and of course consider where you’re going to wear
them to.
