This is your opportunity. This is your moment.
YPR Radio.
ET: What up, what up, what up? It's your boy ET. Welcome to another edition of YPR radio.
Listen to me I'm excited. This is going to be phenomenal. Bananas. I'm here with Noel,
Noel. How you doin?
Noel: I'm doin good. How are you?
ET: Ah man. I am, I am, I am so fired up. I'm so pumped up. You literally live here.
You are a part of Verb Central. Ah, just for those of us who are not physically, you know,
in Arizona. Let's just talk about some of the phenomenal ah, leaders, young leaders
that are here. Um, what do you think has been a benefit of being around some of the great
minds, and some of the great leaders of this company?
Noel: Absolutely. It is, first of all an honor to be sitting with you right now.
ET: Likewise.
Noel: Um, thank you.
ET: Likewise. Don't make me cry.
Noel: [Laughs] Gettin that tear comin down.
ET: It's comin, it's comin.
Noel: Uh, First of all, I mean, just being here the energy.
Noel: You can feel little bit of the credibility too. I have a lot of teams um, out of state
who don't have the Phoenix sense. They don't have Alex and BK, and you know. The great
corporate leadership that we have here. Um, and it is a company unlike anything I have
ever seen. You know, that's why we're so excited. Because it's not just a company. You know,
it's a, it's a family. As corny as that sounds, but, you know, BK's not just our CEO. He's,
you know, a father figure to me.
Um, and someone that I really really look up to. So it's, you know, in my backyard.
It's something that um, you know, I don't have to go far to, to feel that from. You
know, and being with Alex, Josh, and Jovanna, and all these great leaders. Um, it just inspires
you to be better, because you're around it every single day. You know, it's kind of you
wake up, and you have a text from Alex. A text from Jovanna. It's without fail, you
know, that motivation to really just push. Cause you see it, you feel it, you're here
without the passion, and the drive to really make this work it's really easy to make it
kind of fizzle out.
ET: Absolutely.
Noel: Um, so it's, it's, it's great to be here.
ET: Good. So, so let me ask you this then. Um, you know, I tell people all the time,
like don't mimic airtime as behavior.
Noel: Uh-huh.
ET: You know, there are people who are like, "ET, I'm gonna get up at three-o'clock in
the morning." And I'm like, okay. And do what? I'm like, what are you going to do when you
wake up? You know what I'm saying? Like I, I, I know what I'm going to do when I get
up.
Noel: Right.
ET: But what I say to them is, follow my traits.
Noel: Right.
ET: You know, follow the fact that I'm a go getter.
Noel: Uh-huh.
ET: That I'm a hustler. That I'm ambitious. That I'm disciplined.
Noel: Right.
ET: Um, being here, and those individuals that you named, you know, try and think of
one or two traits um, that, that you noticed that's just really been salient. That, you
know, that you've embraced and said, "You know what? I may or may not have had these
particular traits." Maybe you didn't have them and you embraced them, and you're taking
them to a whole knew level. Or perhaps you had 'em, but you, you weren't really, you
know, on all cylinders. And being in this in greater environment...
ET: ...you're now on those cylinders, because of these traits.
Noel: There's a couple actually. Um, one in particular is being real hard headed, in the
right way. Um, there's a lot of people that are going to hate on you. There's a lot of
people who are going to tell you you're never going to succeed., this is um, it's a thing,
it's a phase um, and you need to be hard headed in the right area. Um, and the second is to
care about people. You know, I've always kinda been told that, you know, my biggest weakness
is that I care too much. I, I get screwed over a little bit because I just care too
much. Um, and so when I worked corporate for a while, I worked corporate for about ten-months.
Um, the more that I cared the worse off it was for me,...
ET: Absolutely.
Noel: ...because it was, you know, disappointment letdown um, and kind of like, you know, what
some of the people talked about. Your friend gets that promotion, and you get kind of bitter.
Um, so just kind of embracing, you know, that natural instinct that I have to love, and
care, and bring people higher. Is something, like I said, if you don't have that in this
industry your business is going to fail. If you're in it for yourself business is going
to completely um, it's gonna become very stagnant. Um, and so seeing Alex, and again Jovanna,
Kayley, Josh, you know BK just having extreme passion and love for people um, which is something
that I've always had. You know, but um, now it's allowing me to...
ET: It's paying rewarded.
Noel: Exactly, It's being en-, encouraged, and...
ET: Absolutely.
Noel: ...it's allowing me to be myself. You know, and instead of trying to conform in
a corporate job, and trying to act like you don't care about people, and um, work your
way up. You know, you work your way up by bringing others up with you. Which is something
that before this opportunity I was never encouraged to really do.
ET: A-, I'm looking at the script, and so we've got it, we've got two individuals.
Noel: Yes.
ET: Logan and Andy that we've got, we have to um, interview.
Noel: Absolutely. So our first caller is Logan. Um, super proud of this guy. He um, hopped
on board last summer with us. Um, definitely had some ups and downs with the business.
Um, it's part of the business.
ET: Absolutely.
Noel: Hate to say it um, but he's pushed through with diamond leader right now. Hopefully pushing
platinum. Um, very very hard worker. So Logan, are you out there?
Logan: Yeah. I'm here.
Noel: Alright Logan.
ET: Logan, Logan, I'm going to need you to drink some Verb, Logan.
Noel: [Laughs]
ET: That intro was a little-- we just came off the moment, Logan. We just left the moment
that I didn't want to leave. So you got to work with me, Logan. How you feelin?
Logan: I'm doing well. How are you doing?
ET: Good-- Well I'm not doing as good as you. Your diamond. Shining bright like a diamond
on your way to platinum. So I hear you guys. I hear you're doing good things.
Logan: Yes sir. I'm, I'm working hard at it.
ET: Good. So Noel got a couple questions for you.
Noel: Alright Logan. Why don't you just kinda tell your, tell your story how you got involved.
Logan: Okay. Yeah. Absolutely. You know first off it really started before [inaudible05:39].
You know, I was real busy with school. [inaudible 05:41] really never had time to work that
seven to five job, or that eight to six job. You know, and I was always worried about my
GPA, you know, improving on athletics.
But over summer was really the only time I had the ability to make some sort of income
for myself, you know, I always got a job at my dad's office working a little bit harder.
I absolutely hated it, you know. I did everything his, he didn't want to do, and his employees
didn't' want to do. And I was always told what to do, when to do it, and how to do it.
You know, I absolutely hated that concept of realistically the corporate world.
So I knew I would never trade my time for money with anyone else except my dad. You
know, so I got approached about this from a real good friend of mine in high school,
and she approached me with residual income. Work when you want to, where you want to,
and with who you want to. And I could build it in the summer, and take it into college.
You know, and I, I was real skeptical, but I had nothing to lose. So I went to a meeting
with Alex [inaudible 06:28], and at that time he was like making about $9,000 a month. Which
I thought was absolutely insane, but compared to the money he's making now it's like nothing.
[Laughs]
But I got involved, long story short. You know, I hit diamond in 63 days, and I started
developing that business. But, you know, I couldn't be where I'm at today without Noel's
help, so.
Noel: I swear I did not pay him to say this. This is, this is good. [Laughs]
ET: You know. I didn't, I didn't think she paid you to say this at all. [Laughs] Look
Logan, thank you so much.
Noel: Thanks Logan.
ET: Take care, and I hope to see you in the near future.
Noel: Thanks Logan.
Logan: Awesome. Thanks very much for having me on this call.
ET: So Andrew? Andy, affectionally known as Andy?
Noel: Um, Andy, are you out there?
Andy: Yo! Noel, how's it goin?
Noel: Yo, workmen. Good. Um, so Andy actually he plays baseball. Did you guys win today?
Andy: We did. We kicked ah, the Red's butt.
ET: Good. Cause I, an-, an-, Andy. Cause I was really feelin real, like you were in the
awkward place right there.
ET: I was really feelin bad. I, I says, I hope doesn't say no. She kinda just called
him out like that.
[Laughter]
Noel: I had, I had faith.
Andy: We literally just ah, I just ran off the bus right now. Just got back to our complex.
So I was ah, out of breath kind of, but I'm ready.
ET: Good.
Noel: Alright. Alright.
ET: What, what's so special about ah, VEMA? What, what is so special, you know, about
you being a part of this particular organization?
Andy: You know. I think it starts with the equal opportunity. You know, I have a couple
guys on my team that ah, I didn't see going far with this. But ah, they saw the big picture,
and they ran with it. Like they [inaudible 07:58] the school. They didn't really have
much, but they got an opportunity, and they went for it, and they're, they're doin really
good. So I think it's an equal opportunity where everyone has a chance. It's the same
for everyone. So it's ah, it's a great opportunity.
ET: Definitely. That, Andy, thank you so much. Mr. Workmen. Thank you so much. Congratulations
on the win today. I hope you contributed to that win today. So thanks so much for your
time, and I hope to see you in the near future.
Noel: Thanks Andy.
ET: So guys, listen to me, listen to me. Nothing changes if nothing changes. Alright? I'm going
to say it again, nothing changes if nothing changes. So you're watching today. You're
listening, like that's not enough. It's not enough. To know is not enough. You must supply.
To gain new information is not enough. You must do. It, it means nothing to have an opportunity
of a lifetime if you don't do anything with it.
So please, take advantage of the opportunity of a lifetime in the lifetime of the opportunity.
Get up, get out, and go get something. Once again it's your boy ET, and this has been
another edition of YPR Radio. I'll see you when I see you.
Good job.
