What's up! This is the ScreamChannel. Episode number one.
Starting today
To talk about Metal. Local and international bands. We will have...
...Interviews
We'll give out tips about new releases. Watch videoclips together
And this is one more place on Youtube to talk about our...
...favourite bands. About what we like.
I'll bring on guests
I'll bring on a crowd that likes Metal
Let's see what happens. I'm a little nervous, it's the first episode, but, let's go...
Let's kick off and talk about new releases. Let's go? Peace!
"Leaked"
Well. In today's program, we will give four tips about...
...albums that have just come out, and the bands already announced the launch.
And we're going to start talking about...
...Sevendust.
It's one of the bands I really like
They've just released their 10th album, "Black Out The Sun"
And I'm a bit disappointed, because you'd expect
something different, like the first records, but
The last 2 albums
sound the same
Is it a nice album? Yeah, it is
Sounds great, just like Sevendust does
but nothing is really new. Sounds great and aggressive as ever
If you are a fan, you're gonna wanna have all albuns
This is one more for the collection. I'll get my copy. I hope you like it.
Drop some comments on you think
Sevendust
Our first tip today on "Leaked"
"Black Out The Sun"
Well, the second album we are
going to talk about today is Killswitch Engage's
It has just come out. And brings back the original frontman Jesse Leach
He returns to the band. The little guy with a beard. He recorded the band's first album.
And they released Disarm The Descent
It just came out
It's a really nice album
The songs are aggressive and heavy, just like Killswitch Engage does
As it has always been, brutal metal with melodic parts. It's worth it.
If you haven't yet, go listen to it. It sounds *** great.
New Killswitch Engage
Go get it!
Well, for the old school crowd
What I can recommend is Suicidal Tendencies' new album
It's just come out, called "Thirteen",
This album...
..***, it's *** great, following the band's style
Mike has got sick vocals, the bass is strong, you should go for it If you haven't had a listen yet, go for it
They're back full throttle, this their first release since 2010, and now they're back with this record
Another tip, Suicidal Tendencies. Go get that ***, son!
The last tip of the day is one of my favourite bands
They've just put out an album
They came out with
the first part of 2 records
It's Stone Sour
and the second part has just been released
"House Of Gold & Bones", Part 2.
Part 1 was already amazing. And Part 2 is really amazing.
Go get it if you haven't yet
I've already got mine, I'm totally biased I'm such a big fan
The record is really great
go for it. It's our 4th and last tip of the day
Stone Sour
"House Of Gold & Bones", Part 2. Alright?
Neeext!
Well, we'll start the next segment here on the Scream Channel
This is "Footnote News". A news headline will flash here at the bottom
And will talk a little bit about it, like a news drop
Let's see what we got today
Fear Factory's bassist, Christian
he went in to audition for Machine Head
if this works out, it will be *** awesome
this guy has played bass in Fear Factory
for 9 years. Then he took over the guitars when Dino left
and now there was a video online
speaking of an audition with Machine Head. If he gets in, it's gonna be *** sick for the band
Let's wait and see if this is true. Well, if it is,
the band is gonna be awesome. Machine Head is already awesome,
like Fear Factory is awesome
We'll see what happens
Next! Our next headline talks about Rex
He just put out a book
And it's got
backstage stories from Pantera, his experience with Pantera for, I don't know, over 20 years they were together,
since the end of the 80's He decided to release a book now that leads up to Dime's death and
talks a bit about his take on
what was really going on. I have the book here, this is it. This is his book
I haven't read it yet, it's in English
I'm gonna start reading it soon, but you can find bits and pieces of it around the internet
And he tells it like it is. He says everything there is to say.
He was always so quiet,
He was the lay-low guy in the band
Now he decided to speak out, he wrote the book and said everything he wanted to
Go check the book out, if you haven't yet
It's a good one, nice to have in your collection. Alright?
Next headline!
Well, Andreas Kisser is currently playing together with his son, Yohan Kisser, they went on a tour together
They're playing the classics - Metallica, Judas, Deep Purple
They also have a part together in Andreas' radio show, on 89FM
His son participates. I think it's *** great. If the son is as good a musician as his dad, so well established with Sepultura,
then it's a great addition to the new generation
of guitarists. If he's really good, he's already got a name that speaks for itself, right? Andreas Kisser, jamming with his son, Yohan Kisser
Our last footnote today, from the bands we're into is about Disturbed
The lead singer, David Draiman, said the band will get together
whenever
necessary
He's got some side projects
He's got another band going and
then this whole thing of "we gotta get together, we need to talk" started
Something new's gotta come out of it
They haven't released anything in a while, since 2011
Well, stay tuned! But as much as the singer is concerned, there's nothing planned yet. So we'll have to be on the lookout. Ok?
This was the segment
Footnote News
Let's move forward!
Well, this week's band on "Crank It Up" is nothing more, nothing less than
Stone Sour. We've just finished talking about them in new releases, they've just put out a new album
and we'll feature one of their videos here. Let's talk a little bit more about the band
The band started back in 1992
With lead singer Corey Taylor
Who later went on to Slipknot
And James Root, who's also in Slipknot
From 92 to 94, the band had over 10 different guitarrists
before
getting to its last setup, their current lineup
And it's got Corey on vocals, James Root
on guitars
As well as Josh Hand, and Roy Mayorga on drums, who used to be in Soulfly
The band exists since 92, but in 97
they took a break
Because Corey took on a "side project", which turned out to be Slipknot, and took James with him
then, after all the success they made in Slipknot
they went back to Stone Sour
and released their first, self-titled album Stone Sour, in 2002
Taking on
this project once again, which in reality was their
initial band
So far, the band has
released "Stone Sour" in 2002
Then in 2006, they put out
"Come Whatever May". Then came "Audio Secrecy"
in 2010, which is a *** great record
Then after that, they released "House Of Gold & Bones, Part 1", in 2012
And Part 2 has just come out, which we just talked about.
It's different from Slipknot, if you know Slipknot,
you know that they are really brutal
And Corey is so diversified,
he's got a wide vocal range
And in Stone Sour, you can see that
a lot more clearly, more evidently than in Slipknot,
where he screams his lungs out and doesn't sing much.
In Stone Sour, you can hear him sing.
The video we picked out
for this instalment of "Crank It Up",
is actually 2 videos together, from the first 2 songs of
House Of
Gold And Bones, Part 1
which are Gone Sovereign
and the other is Absolute Zero
They did 2 separate videos, but then put them together
in one video. So for us to see
how this worked out
I chose this one for today
This is a great song, both songs are awesome, so kick back and enjoy it
Crank this *** up!
Stop! This didn't work! They blocked the broadcast.
I was gonna play the video here, but Youtube busted my chops
So unfortunately, we can't see the video here
But I'm putting up here on the right the link to Stone Sour's channel
Right here
So if you wanna watch the video I just talked about, you can go to their channel
and check their video out
Unfortunately, the video was cut off, we won't be able to play it
Let's move on, keep going, next segment, peace, see ya!
Well, playing here live
nothing better than talking about this guy here,
this guy behind me
with Down, they'll be playing here in Brazil
on April 10th, at Carioca Club
If you didn't see them on SWU, nor abroad
I've had the pleasure of seeing them abroad
The band is awesome
Phil Anselmo is awesome
April 10th, at Carioca Club
They'll be playing here in São Paulo
The only downside is admission prices. Just for a change here in Brazil, the price of the ticket
is too *** high!
BRL 260 for general admission and BRL 360 for mezzanine seats
If you can't pay half-fare, you'll have to drop your entire salary
to see them
But, the band
It's Down. It's worth it
If you haven't seen it yet
Go check it, April 10, Carioca Club, Down
