Here we are today at Magnuson park, it's beautiful its Tree Fest what a great thing!
Magnuson Park used to be nothing but trees, this used to be a big forest we need to get
our tree canopy back into the place where we can't do that start turning carbon dioxide
and %uh also i'm working with the parks department working on a new master plan a
part of that plan is to put in our budget reason to trees and other christopher reeve
creating ecosystems we have great natural reserve
why is this an important issue for me well
first of all seattle has less participate
many many major cities in this country
we need to do something to try to increase that ideas about that usually comes down it
doesn't necessarily tell you the buildings
playgrounds of respect
it's not just parks is just too
the our neighbors to the north interests of the stuff about a great job of that
from person to step up to the place
what's my connection a magazine for well i grew up off the boat that are and i feel that
what about that part and i look out at madison park
and %uh you know my family has worked hard to predict the best place that can be and
i've taken over that job
and %uh approach of the front of them support liaison committee we want to just get even
better and better the chance to be the best part
on the west coast
and i think that of that happen
this time of good common sense
