Eastern Australia takes a battering. Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide among the places hit
by strong winds and heavy thunderstorms. Roofs ripped off, trees uprooted and power lines
brought down. Taking out whatever was in the way. Be they buildings. Or cars.
Many cars.
This trampoline snatched off the ground and popped on top of the roof. This boat, sunk
as it sat in the relatively protected environment of the local harbour. The state's second biggest
city, Mount Gambier recovers from winds that roared through at up to 65 miles an hour.
Which may explain what happened to this shed.
Ripped apart by the gales and now a major DIY project for its owner. More than 90,000
homes left without power after the worst storms in thirty years. One man killed in Sydney,
which was hit by 83 mile an hour winds. Electrocuted as he tried to carry out repairs.
