Hi, this is Beth Essington for Expert Village. I am going to show you a blanket that I have
been working on for a while, it is coming along very nicely and I am really enjoying
it. This is a very easy comfortable to work with yarn, it is seventy-five percent wool
and twenty-five percent acrylic. It is very durable, very strong you can wash it. It is
a great yarn. If you make this blanket twenty years from now you will still have this blanket
and it will hold up beautifully and the yarn is very inexpensive. This blanket is a combination
of several stitches that we have learned today. As you can see right here, we have two rows
of single crochet which we showed you earlier and then up here what it is, is its actually
double crochet and it looks like it is complicated but it really isn't. You are basically doing
three double crochet and on the fourth one, you will have skipped a stitch at the beginning
and you basically are going to pull it over and do it in the first stitch and so it just
gives it this real pretty little cross over design. It takes a little bit of time, you
have to keep track of your rows and stitches but it is very easy. I think you will really
enjoy it and it is a very pretty product when finished.
