I thank God
like His thankful slaves and I praise the Prophet(PBUH)
I welcome you by saying may peace be upon you
and next, there's a big difference between a person
who is worried in this life and fears tomorrow
and is scared of the future and a person who has left his fate
entirely to His creator and knows that He is reponsible for him
and that He is the one to relieve his pain, cure his sickness and repay his debts
because there is a God who is responsible for everything in life.
Abdel Mutalib told Abraha that
I am the owner of camels, as for the Kaaba
it has a God to protect it. And so, you, the slave of God,
no matter where you are in the world, we all worship a God whom we must entrust.
The person who depends on God, is someone who feels
inner peace and serenity and he sleeps
without taking sleeping pills (to relieve anxiety). Those who take sleeping pills have lost
their trust of God. Any person you see taking sleeping pills,
any person that takes calming pills or sees psychiatrists
or anything of that sort,
know that trust of God has evaporated out of his heart.
Why? Because a Muslim leaves the causes (how and why something happens)
and depends on the God of all causes. This is the Prophet of God (PBUH)
in the cave when Abu Bakr said to him "O Prophet of God, if one of them looks
down, he'll see us". He (PBUH) said " O Abu Bakr what do you think of two who are
in the company of God?". Therefore, entrusting God fully is what
makes someone strong. "Those to whom the people said Surely men have gathered against you
therefore fear them, but this increased their faith and they said: Allah is sufficient for us
and most excellent is the Protector. So they returned with favor from Allah and (His) grace, no evil touched them
and they followed the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace." One of the scholars says " I think that
entrusting God is to have faith in God's favors."
And God has only given you that which is good.
If you were dependent on your mind, and your education and your degrees and your
friends and your position, then who was providing for you when you were
an embryo in your mother's womb? It was Allah. Who gave you means for education? Allah.
Who gave you sustenance? Allah. We all came out naked from our mothers' wombs
and then we obtained money, houses, wives
and children. From where? From God's sustenance, and not from your knowledge.
You think and you make plans and you do what Hagar
the mother of Ismael did, going between Safa and Marwa searching
(for water) until she couldn't find any
and Allah ordered Jibril to nudge the ground with his wing
and Zamzam's water came into being. So he who trusts God takes this example
"O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in a valley without cultivation,
by Thy Sacred House; in order, O our Lord, that they may establish regular Prayer:
so fill the hearts of some among men with love towards them , and feed them with fruits".Therefore, entrusting
God is to leave all matters up to God. For example, a student studies and attends lectures
then goes home and reviews his notes
and then goes into an exam entrusting God and leaves everything
before and after to God. He leaves behind his own strength to depend on God's strength.
He leaves his evaluation of his own strength
to enter into the realm of Allah's strength. It was the same thing in the Battle of Badr
when the Prophet (PBUH) organized the files
in a manner which the Arabs were not used to.
he said if I owe anybody anything then let him come and get it.
After all this was organized he stopped to pray to God for aide. But if a student sleeps
all year round and then says that he depends on God, he is in fact inappropriately dependent on God.
The honest heart which truly depends on God,
this is the one who truly entrusts God.
And entrusting God brings forth a strong fruit for you
and that is the love of God because God
loves those who entrust him. So don't look at the causes
because the causes are only work which
you must carry out but in the end the one who facilitiates all things with His wisdom
is Allah. So if you understand how to avoid something, it
comes back to you as a blessing. So depend on God on all issues, big and small.
As for the question of the levels of entrusting God
What are the fruits of entrusting God and the results of doing so
This is the topic of our discussions in future episodes
if we were to remain dwellers of the Earth. O Allah may we always entrust You
and are faithful in our dependencies and may blessings be bestowed on Mohamed (PBUH)
and Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatu
