the image that many leaders have
particularly when they're relatively new in the job
is that well this is me is what my job is you know..
I hang on I cracked the whip and then and i turn this way
or alternate this way or where I decide I want to turn
the organization it'll go in that direction.. the reality however is
somewhat different to that
in virtually every case that you'll find
up when you
take on command of a new organization
you inherit all the luggage all other baggage
of that organization the old systems the old procedures are they old cultures
the old attitudes the traditions everything that was there be four
that's what you've got the new and even getting and even gonna get your feet on
the ground the reality is this is about the best you can hope for
this is the reality that soon sets in for leaders have organizations what and
when they realised what they're dealing with is an organization
that is bucking and kicking and frankly dedicated to doing everything that I can
to get rid of him
