(((Karen Hansen))) Welcome to this week's Blugold minute... I'm Karen Hansen.
(((Luke Otto))) And I'm Luke Otto. Blugold minute is a quick look at what's happened, and what's coming up here on Wisconsin's most beautiful campus.
(((Karen))) We only get 60-seconds to do this, so let's go! Last Thursday, the rededication of the children's nature center
took place at the Priory. More than 100-people were on hand, and that's not including all the little future Blugold who serenaded guests after the event.
(((Luke))) Also, on Friday, the official grand opening of Davies Center took place. For all you who had already been using it, it's ok. You had permission.
(((Karen))) Great news for the Blugold beginnings program. Blugold beginnings gets fifth grade students involved
with a number of programs to help them prepare for college. RCU donated more than 11-thousand dollars to the program.
The money was raised during the RCU Charity Classic race.
(((Luke))) Want to hit the library? Tours of McIntyre library are being offered to help make it easier for to find what you're
looking for. Check the events calendar on our home page for tour times.
(((Karen))) The women's volleyball team takes on UW-Oshkosh Saturday at McPhee. It's the team's annual breast cancer
awareness day. It's a great cause and great volleyball!
(((Luke))) The football teams plays at Oshkosh Saturday. Women's soccer is at Platteville, women's tennis is
here at home Saturday, and good luck to the women's golf team at the WIAC championships on Saturday.
(((Karen))) That's your Blugold minute for this week.
(((Luke))) Keep up to date on what's happening by checking our website at uwec.edu, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook. Have a great week, Blugolds!
