Perhaps there's no better consequence to the chain reaction of Sweden's *** liberalism,
the meteoric rise of ***, and feminism's subsequent opposition, than writer, director,
and producer Erika *** -- the vanguard of a new wave of *** filmmaking.
Erika *** studied Political Science with a concentration in Feminism before moving
to Barcelona in 2000, where she began working for film companies and experimenting with
her own short films. She could see the need for women's voices in male driven mainstream
*** and set up *** Films as a means to offer something new.
In 2004 she wrote, produced, and directed her first short, The Good Girl, later included
in her first feature film, Five Hot Stories for Her. 2008-2011 saw the release of the
critically acclaimed and award winning films Barcelona Sex Project, Handcuffs, Life Love
***, Room 33, and Cabaret Desire. She's a popular blogger and the author of the bestselling
books A Woman's Guide to Good ***, The *** Bible to Europe, and Love Me Like You Hate
Me. When asked about her role in the mainstream
*** industry, Erika *** maintains that she's not a part of it, that she's an outsider forging
a new territory of *** expression. Her work is *** without forgoing its intimate,
emotional quality; it evidences the possibilities, range, and landscape of modern sexuality.
She believes that the adult entertainment industry is constantly evolving and that women
are its untapped transformers, and can revolutionize future generations' visions of sexuality.
