Taking your children hiking and introducing them to nature is actually a really great
time, to teach them, how to be responsible for nature and instill in them a real sense
of value, when it comes to helping to keep our world clean. Anytime that you go hiking,
if you have trash, be sure to clean up after yourself. If you, if you bring a dog along,
make sure that you clean up after your dog. If you're changing diapers, you know, if your
having snacks, go ahead and pack, just a couple of plastic bags. They scrunch up very easily
into a pocket, or a *** pack or a backpack. And then along the way as your hiking with
your child's, you know, take it out and throw your trash away. And it might even be kind
of nice to have your child's, pick up any trash that you see is safe for them to touch.
Any you know, food bags, or cans, or bottles or anything like that. And go ahead and pick
up a few pieces of trash even though you didn't leave it there. And explain why it's important
for all of us to respect nature and to clean up after ourselves and leave it nice and clean
for whoever comes behind us. Not just that day on the trail, but you know, it's a nice
lesson to take out into, the world. And it's a great way to show them, because if we don't
keep our worlds clean then the generations that follow aren't going to have a nice trail
to hike on. It's a very simple and very nice lesson to teach your children.
