Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. In this clip we're going to take our fabric
pieces that we cut out and pin to our batting and we're going to go ahead and stitch around
each one of them. The whole reason why we're stitching them first individually is because
we want to give it a secure sort of place. We're going to go in and actually quilt each
of these pieces so in order to do that and to make it look really fun we want to just
stitch around. You can go ahead and do just like a basting stitch which is when you stick
your stitch length on a 4 and it's just a temporary stitch. So you really don't have
to be exact with this you just want to make sure that you stitch the entire fabric to
the batting as close to the edge as possible. When you get to the little part where the
thumb and the hand part meet you just want to make sure that your needle is all the way
into your fabric. Then you pick up your foot and swibble it around so that you can start
doing the thumb part. (sewing) Once that is done you're going to go ahead and stitch each
remaining piece just going all the way around. (sewing) I finished sewing all the edges I'm
going to go ahead and take out my pins and then we're ready for the really fun part.
