ArmA 2 is again a complex, extensive, realistic simulator of modern warfare,
this time the players look a close future, into a fictional country of Chernarus.
There, in a role of a USMC special forces team,
they get into a very complicated and nontransparent situation.
There's a civil war raging in the country, for a several years already.
In this situation the Chernarussian government requests help
and coincidentally it's possible for the USMC
to intervene as peace forces in the area.
During the game players can expect numerous twists,
when the team has to solve situations that was never even prepared or trained for,
so in the end the fate of the whole war and the country lies in the team's hands.
(Jan Hovora, vegetation graphics) It's a really complicated thing,
basically I think it's more complicated then doing a high-budget movie.
The game's development itself takes the most time I think,
but in reality it's the entertaining part, so you don't realize it takes that long.
The worst is the ending, when you're just fixing bugs and finishing it.
That might take, let's say, 20% of the whole product's development,
but these 20% are the most annoying, those cost us the most effort, are boring,
but you still have to come through this to finish it.
ArmA 2 is for sure the biggest project, we, Bohemia Interactive, ever worked on
and we're putting a lot of effort into it, to be the game
that will pick up again on Operation Flashpoint,
a game that got the heart of many players all around the globe back then.
