Hello folks you have made it to week three.
And you should congratulate yourself you've done a lot of work towards planning a great
assignment
in Week 3 we're going to look at three different items
the first thing we're going to look at is creating instructions for our
assignment
from both a technical perspective
and a content oriented perspective
so to that end, there are a few items in the course that will help you learn
to write good instructions
for uh... completing the assignment
and that will help to you
write out your technical specifications in other words what type of files do you
want students to submit
what will you do if blackboard is down and you need an alternative
and that type of thing
after we look at that
there are few examples of grading criteria that you can use to evaluate the
assignment that your students submit
so when we talk about grading criteria it might be simple criteria
it might be basic checklists like the checklist i've given you in this course
to check your own thinking as you create your assignments
it could be a detailed rubric chart. So there are two examples
make sure you take a look at those
and the last piece they were doing this week is we're going to tie everything together
together that we've learned during this course
and we will write a
description
of our assignment which can be then
put together as you actually create the assignment for your students
there are also two optional activities for the week
so if you are feeling adventurous
you might decide to actually post
your assignment in blackboard and there's some tutorials to help you
through that
and if you're feeling still more adventurous you might decide to allow
your peers to experience your course as a student to
see our assignment and perhaps provide you with some comments and feedback
so "all aboard"
let's get ready for the final week of our course
week three. I look forward to working with you this week.
